Philemon
1:1 Paul, a prisoner of YASHUWAH the Messiah, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow-laborer,
Philemon
1:2 And to our beloved Apphia, Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the assembly in your house:
Philemon
1:3 Grace to you*, and peace, from Elohim our Father and the Master YASHUWAH the Messiah.
Philemon
1:4 I thank my Elohim, making mention of you always in my prayers,
Philemon
1:5 Hearing of your love and faith, which you have towards the Master YASHUWAH, and towards all saints;
Philemon
1:6 That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you* in the Messiah YASHUWAH.
Philemon
1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
Philemon
1:8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in the Messiah to enjoin you to that which is convenient.
Philemon
1:9 Yet for love's sake I rather pray you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of YASHUWAH the Messiah.
Philemon
1:10 I pray you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
Philemon
1:11 Who in time past was to you unprofitable, but now profitable to you and to me:
Philemon
1:12 Whom I have sent again: therefore receive him (that is, my own heart),
Philemon
1:13 Whom I wished to have retained with me, so that in your stead he might have ministered to me in the bonds of the gospel:
Philemon
1:14 But without your consent I would do nothing; so that your benefit should not be as of necessity, but willingly.
Philemon
1:15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that you should receive him forever;
Philemon
1:16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a beloved brother, specially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh, and in the Master.
Philemon
1:17 If you account me therefore a partner, receive him as you* would me.
Philemon
1:18 If he has wronged you, or owes you anything, put that on my account;
Philemon
1:19 I, Paul, have written it with my own hand, I will repay it: although I do not say to you that you owe to me even your own self as well.
Philemon
1:20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in YASHUWAH: refresh my heart in YASHUWAH.
Philemon
1:21 Having confidence in your obedience I wrote to you, knowing that you will also do more than I say.
Philemon
1:22 But at the same time prepare me also a lodging; for I trust that through your* prayers I shall be given to you*.
Philemon
1:23 Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in the Messiah YASHUWAH salutes you;
Philemon
1:24 As do Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, and Lucas, my fellow-laborers.
Philemon
1:25 The grace of our Master YASHUWAH the Messiah be with your* spirit. Amen.
