Chapter 5
1st Corinthians
5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you*, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
5:2 And you* are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you*.
5:3 For I truly, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have already judged as though I were present, concerning him who has so done this deed,
5:4 In the name of our Master YASHUWAH the Messiah, when you* are assembled, and my spirit, with the power of our Master YASHUWAH the Messiah,
5:5 To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Master YASHUWAH.
5:6 Your* boasting is not good. Do you* not know, that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
5:7 Therefore cleanse out the old leaven, so that you* may be a new lump, as you* are unleavened. For even the Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us:
5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
5:9 I have written to you* in this epistle, not to associate with persons guilty of fornication:
5:10 Yet not altogether with whore-mongers of this world, or with the covetous, extortioners, or with idolaters: for then you* would have to go out of the world.
5:11 But now I have written to you* not to keep company, if any man who is called a brother is a whore-monger, covetous, an idolater, a railer, a drunkard, or an extortioner: do not even eat with such a person.
5:12 For what have I to do to judge those also who are outside? do you* not judge those who are inside?
5:13 But those who are outside Elohim judges. Therefore put away from among yourselves* that wicked person.
